Founder of the Theatre Arts Workshop. Marie has directed school, community, and regional theatre for over 30 years. She has directed musicals at the Emelin Theatre and stages reading at the West Side Arts Theatre. She directs The Contemporary Theatre Arts Workshop in Armonk, NY, and teaches piano, guitar, voice and computer music. She musically directed the Off, Off Broadway production of "The Wonderful Story Of the Babes In The Wood", and 3 songs she composed were featured in it. Marie has also composed the music for "My Poppa", "Rosalita", "Revelations", "Dick Whittington", "Princess", "Velveteen Rabbit" and "Canterville Ghost" which was presented at Sun Flower Productions in Milford, PA. Spring ‘05 Marie wrote script, music and directed “RAMA” performed in Tarrytown, NY. In her spare time, Marie's completed a degree in Parapsychology, continues to study holistic health and energetic healing, is a Reiki Master, is now a Certified Feng Shui consultant, and is writing a book. |
Lisa Jordan (Director/Musical Director/Producer)

Lisa has been performing since the age of three. She has and continues to appear in a variety of shows in regional theaters, summer stocks and off Broadway. Some of her favorite and most notable performances are “Cabaret”, “Camelot”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “South Pacific”, and “Annie Get Your Gun”. She is currently busy with voice-over work, teaching private voice lessons, private self-defense coaching, and party performing. Lisa Jordan is a Reiki Master and Certified Feng Shui Consultant. She is currently in the midst of writing a book on Feng Shui. Lisa is very proud of her CD, "The Mystery of The Box in The Attic," a narrative story put to classical music for young listeners- produced by Helicon Records. |
TJ O'Sullivan (Director/Choreographer)

This marks TJ's ninth
season as director and choreographer for Theatre Arts Workshop.
He also performed in their productions of Fosse (which he
directed/choreographed), A Chorus Line (Paul) and two
productions of Footloose (Ren/Wes). TJ has held the
position of Artistic Director at the Academy of Mt. St. Ursula
High School and has continued to work with them for over ten
years. He also worked as asst. choreographer/costume designer
for Chicago and Footloose at the Wohlfahrt Haus
Dinner Theatre in Wytheville, VA. Some of his other director/choregrapher/producer
credits include: Crazy for You, Anything Goes, Footloose, The
Pajama Game, Godspell, Urinetown, Annie and Cinderella.

Amanda Scarcella (Drama Teacher/Music Teacher)

Amanda
began dance lessons at age six. By twelve years
old, she had professional voice, acting and
improvisation training under her belt. She was
selected for a Westchester Arts Program in which
she co-wrote and performed in Why, Grandma
,Why? an original production at
Manhattanville College. She has also
participated in school, community and private
productions such as Rumors (Cookie),
Our Town (Mrs. Webb), Play On
(Phyllis), It’s A Wonderful Life (Aunt
Tilly), Joseph And The Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat (Brother Gad),
Grease, and Anything Goes. She has
extensive stage crew experience, often times
volunteering for set construction for the
aforementioned shows, as well as a Summerstock
production of Seesaw. She was also
featured in a private production through All For
Arts in which she performed a medley of scenes,
songs and monologues from shows such as:
Gypsy, Les Miserables, Isn’t It
Romantic, and Guys and Dolls. She has
performed in the 2005, 2006, and 2007
productions of The Vagina Monologues at
The University at Albany. She has also
participated in Theatre Arts Workshop
productions of Footloose (Eleanor
Dunbar). Amanda has a double bachelor’s degree
in Women’s Studies and English from the
University at Albany, and is currently pursuing
her Master’s Degree in both Elementary and
Adolescent Education.

John Stillwaggon (Drama Teacher/Improvisation)

John is
thrilled to be joining the Theatre Arts Workshop
family. Having completed a Bachelor's Degree in
Elementary Education, John served as the
Workshop Master of the National Players Touring
Shakespeare Company, designing and executing
workshops in acting and play-writing for
students of all ages nationwide. He returned to
New York to continue his teaching and acting
careers, and to complete a Master's in Acting at
CUNY Brooklyn. John has taught as an Adjunct
Professor of Acting at Brooklyn College, as an
Acting Instructor with Fine Arts Connection of
New Jersey, and (currently) as an Assistant
Teacher/Drama Specialist at the Canarsie
Childhood Center in Brooklyn, and as the Founder
and Director of the Act-Out! Acting School in
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Off-Broadway: The Deciders
(Dick Cheney), The Last One Left (Eddie).
Regional: The Sound Of Music (Paper Mill
Playhouse); Twilight (Boomerang Theatre Co.);
Death of a Salesman (Happy); The Music Man
(Harold Hill); Joseph... (title); Evita (Che);
